“It was a surreal feeling, knowing I was able to make a career at such a young age, based on something I was extremely passionate about!” – Emma

This is how Emma Rae Gladu described her emotions the moment she realized her dreams were about to take flight. And when we say take flight, we mean literally. Emma, a former Indian Land High School student has been quite busy since high school.
After graduating, she found herself on a plane in route to New York City. This is when her journey began. She hopped on a path that would turn her dreams into realities.
With hard work and perseverance, Emma walked the Runway for Vogue, modeled in a showroom for giant denim designer Levi, strutted the runway for world renowned designer Angela Simmons, and made her debut in Allure magazine.
Emma is currently signed with Directions USA and spends her days modeling in Charleston, SC. She also attends college where she plans to become a wedding consultant. Emma described her excitement: “I’m so excited about the future! I have big plans! I would love to do some modeling work in Japan!”
Emma is an independent, driven young lady who is beautiful from the inside out. It’s very easy to see why she’s one of our favorite Indian Land natives, after all, she is just a small-town girl.
